The Accretian Empire has come to Novus for the sole purpose of harvesting the planet of all its resources. The Accretia were once biological entities, but they shed their frail bodies in favor of cybernetic implants. They now start life as biological entities, grown in labs and educated to follow the primary Accretian creed. There are no individuals in the Empire; all must work together in service to the state. At their coming of age, all their biological body parts are replaced with machinery, making the individual a fully functioning Accretian warrior. The big lure of playing the Accretians is access to technology and guns that are unavailable to any other race, culminating in the mighty "Launchers" – enormous shoulder-mounted cannons.
